I just wanted to express my appreciation to you and your entire Staff that worked so proficiently, tirelessly and together to ensure this successful event. I am a rather new Triathlete…actually got started last August and ran in a Triathlon the Friday before Hurricane Katrina. After having only run in 3 events, I must say that Tri4God has been the best….and I don't see many others even coming close to what you all have done. I didn't do all that well in this race…not as good as I planned anyway….mainly because I cramped in both legs at the 1.5 Run mark and it took me about 34 minutes to hobble that last 1.5 mile…a real Bonk for sure. But what I wanted to share with you and let you know about was that when I finished the race, coming to the finish line, I was in tremendous pain and everyone on the sidelines was shouting.."Come on, you can make it " and I did….it was a great experience, great encouragement and support from all and I thought of the Lord and how He encourages us in our Race to win in this "Life Race"….He is shouting to us all…"Come on…You can make it". And you know Doug….when we are encouraged, many of us rise to the occasion even in the midst of adversity and we press on to finish….God is Good….He really teaches us volumes through experiences if we will just listen. Also…when I crossed the line….one of your helpers….an older gentleman helped me out and got me some electrolyte drink mix and it really did help….within minutes the cramping went away. But he took time to ask how I prepared and what I did during the race for hydration…..I told him I had Propel in T-1…drank 2 bottles of water during the Bike and right before T-2 I downed 2 RedBull Energy Drinks to go into the Run…..that man told me that was where I went wrong….too much caffiene in those Drinks is what caused me to cramp up….lessons learned….because of his helpful advice, I will know next time not to do that. It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tri4God.

Another great race you guys put on! I am thankful that your organization puts the time and effort into doing this every year and hope that it will continue to grow. Do you have email addresses for the Madison County Sheriffs Dept as well as the Lake Caroline Home owners association? I would
like to send them a thank you email as well. I pray that the Lord will continue to bless you and TRI4God and that people will be reached because of your efforts. Many triathletes fail to acknowlege
whom it is that gives them the ability, drive, health to do what we do and if one can be reached and saved through such a great triathlon-what a glorious day it will be.
In Him,
David Triplett
My wife and I just completed your triathlon today. We were very impressed with the size (only your 3rd year?), organization, swag, food, and course. Thank you for all your and your volunteers' hard work. Thank you for using this event to glorify God. You have certainly not "buried your
talent." We will be back next year, hopefully with even more Starkvillians.
